Women Build

Women Build is a Habitat for Humanity International program that trains women to make a difference by building homes and communities.  Over 22 years, thousands of houses have been built by women crews around the world - more than 1,400 homes since 1998...and counting!

Women Build brings together women from all walks of life to address, in a concrete way, the housing crisis facing millions of women and children across the globe.  Decent, affordable housing is not a feminist issue; it is a quality-of-life issue facing families everywhere.  Habitat is training women to become effective volunteers, better equipped to fight poverty housing.

2010 Women Build

Meet the 2010 Women Build family!
Kim Rives and her two daughters, Camille (8) and Angela (23), are excited for their Habitat home. Kim shares, "Habitat has given me and my family so much; a home, new friends, a sense of belonging to a community, and now, hope for a better future for my child.  Just saying 'thank you' doesn't seem to be enough.  I pray God blesses you...Thank you for such a wonderful gift this Holidays Season!"

Special thanks to our generous 2010 Women Build in-kind donors.
