Fundraising Bike Rides
The spooktacular seventh-annual Halloween Bike Ride benefits Habitat for Humanity of Durham. Experience scenic views of Durham County as you ride 31, 62, or 100 miles. All routes are fully supported by the Durham County Sheriff's Office and start and finish at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park in downtown Durham. Gear up for a ghoulish good time and compete for best costume! Helmets required. Teams welcome. The 2010 Cree Habitat Bull Moon Bike Ride was a success! Thank to all who rode, donated and sponsored the event. Nearly 600 cyclists participated raising over $30,000 for the Rahlan-Ksor family! What an amazing feat for pedaling feet! The Cree Habitat Bull Moon Bike Ride is a unique night ride meandering through the streets of downtown Durham. Riders of all ages and abilities ride past Durham landmarks including Duke Chapel at twilight and the American Tobacco Trail as the moon rises. The ride starts at 8 p.m. and is fully supported by Durham County Sheriff’s Office. Riders return to the sounds of live music and a party atmosphere. Mark your calendars for the Cree Habitat Bull Moon Bike Ride on July 10 at 8 p.m.! The Cree Habitat Halloween Bike Ride is an all full day bicycling event. Riders choose 18, 31, 62 or 100 mile routes that wind through downtown Durham and the countryside. See the colors of the fall while pedaling to build affordable housing in Durham. The ride starts at 9 a.m. and is fully supported by Durham County Sheriff’s Office and rest stops. Riders return to a party which includes live music and food. There is a route that is right for your abilities and interest. Be sure to join the fun at the Cree Habitat Halloween Ride on October 30 at 9 a.m.!
