The spooktacular seventh-annual Halloween Bike Ride benefits Habitat for Humanity of Durham. Experience scenic views of Durham County as you ride 31, 62, or 100 miles. All routes are fully supported by the Durham County Sheriff's Office and start and finish at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park in downtown Durham. Gear up for a ghoulish good time and compete for best costume! Helmets required. Teams welcome.
RIDE DETAILS
31, 62, and 100 mile routes New in 2010: Teams Welcome
Create or join a team! A team consists of 4 or more cyclists. Each team must designate a team captain to create a team and notify team members to register under the given name. Follow the steps outline online and offline registration forms. Email questions along the way. The more the merrier!! Fully supported with Durham County Sheriff and rest stops Route support closes at 4 p.m. Please make sure you can arrive back at the finish line by this time. Helmets required$40 pre-registration$45 walk-on registrationPre-registered check-in and walk-on registration opens at 7:30 a.m. at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park (DBAP). For directions to the DBAP, CLICK HERE.All riders must be registered and must check-in to receive rider ID and cue sheets.Cyclists under 18 must be accompanied by an adult during the ride. All cyclists will depart at 9:00 a.m. sharp. Have fun with the Halloween theme and compete for best costume! Winners will receive a prize. Costumes are not required to ride. Post ride party with refreshments and live music by Sea Cow.Join the Raise the Roof Rewards Program and help build a Habitat home. RAISE THE ROOF REWARDS PROGRAM
The Cree Habitat Bull Moon Ride is a fund-raising ride. Although donations are not required, contributions help Habitat build a home for a family in Durham. When you register, pledge to make and/or collect donations and receive the following prizes. For each donation, you sponsor a part of a Habitat home and help make the dream of home ownership a reality for a family in Durham.
Donate/collect $25 (or more) to receive commemorative cycling socks.Donate/collect $100 (or more) to receive commemorative cycling socks and a long sleeve T-shirt. Donate/collect $500 (or more) to receive commemorative cycling socks, a long sleeve T-shirt and a jersey. At the $500 level you become a member of the Silver Hammer Club with special VIP registration at event check in.Donate/collect $1,000 (or more) to receive all of the Silver Hammer Club incentives AND become a member of the Golden Hammer Club, which entitles you to a Golden Hammer jersey when you register for the 2011 Habitat Bike Rides.The top fundraiser in 2010 will be Rider #1 and lead the peloton in both 2011 rides.

3. Fundraise online. When you register online, an individual fund-raising page will automatically be created for you.
4. Collect donations and bring them with you to the event. Please make checks payable to Habitat of Durham.
5. Ask your friends, family, coworkers, neighbors to donate on your behalf.
SAFETY INFORMATION
All roads are open to regular traffic. Please be courteous and ride single file, stop at all stop signs and obey all traffic laws.
ANSI, ASTM, CPSC or Snell certified helmets are mandatory for all riders. Tail and head lights are required. Riders are responsible for keeping their bicycles in safe working condition. Minors under the age of 18 must ride with a parent or guardian. Please carry a spare tube, patch kit, pump and water bottle. Participants are strongtly encouraged to have their bicycle inspected.
